Lentil Soup Recipe

This post is one the few posts that will be more for myself than anyone. I constantly lose my recipe for this soup, and since it’s the dried soup that Dh uses for his lunches everyday, it’s slightly important.

Lentil Soup

3/4 cup lentils

1/2 cup split peas

4 tbsp. parsley

6 tbsp. onion flakes

1 tsp. thyme

1 tsp. basil

1 tsp. celery flakes

1/2 cup dried veggies

1/2 cup small pasta

Measure roughly three tablespoons worth into metal thermos. Add one bullion of choice. Pour hot water into thermos (hot enough your kettle whistles) and screw on top. Shake like crazy and shake again before eating. Amount of soup mix and water can be adjusted according to taste.

I’ve done a similar version of this for my lunch with just the veggies, onion flakes (doubled), and lentils with beef bouillon to make an onion soup mix.
